Shotgun Wedding

A woman awakes during the night and finds her husband is not in bed.
She puts on her robe and goes downstairs to look for him.
She finds him sitting at the kitchen table with a cup of hot cocoa in front of him.
He appears to be in deep thought, just staring at the wall.
She watches as he wipes away a tear from his eye.
“What’s the matter, dear?” she whispers as she steps into the room…. “Why are you down here at this time of night!?”
The husband looks up from his drink, “It’s the 20th Anniversary of the day we met.”
She can’t believe he has remembered and starts to tear up.
The husband continues, “Do you remember 20 years ago when we started dating? I was 18 and you were only 15,” he said solemnly.
Once again, the wife is touched to tears thinking that her husband is so caring and sensitive. “Yes, I do” she replies.
The husband pauses……. The words were not coming easily.
“Do you remember when your father caught us in the back seat of my car?”
“Yes, I remember” said the wife, lowering herself into a chair beside him.
The husband continued. “Do you remember when he shoved the shotgun in my face and said, Either you marry my daughter or I will make sure you spend the next 20 years in prison?”
“I remember that, too” she replied softly…
He sighed as he wiped another tear away from his cheek and said, “I would have gotten out today.”

Holly Willoughby claims she ‘owes everything’ to This Morning co-host Phillip Schofield

HOLLY WILLOUGHBY has opened up about her appreciation for This Morning co-star Phillip Schofield.

Holly and Phil have proved a popular combination on the daytime ITV show which has been recognised with a number of National Television Awards voted for by the public.

However the 36-year-old mum of three claims that their pairing almost didn’t happen.

She explained: “There’s no way I would have even been considered for This Morning if it hadn’t been for Phil.

“I know for a fact that he was the one that mentioned me.

“He pushed for me to get the job in the first place.”

“I totally owe him everything,” she told the Sunday Post.

Adding: “I know that when he’s away or when he films other things, someone else steps in and that\s great.

“But I can’t imagine doing the show without him.”

“I think I need him on that show,” she concluded.

“We are a total team.”

The popular duo have worked together since first being paired up for Dancing On Ice in 2006.

The kind of chemistry that they enjoy on-screen together isn’t a fluke.

Drawn on it, Philip, 54, said: “I did a show called Test the Nation with Anne Robinson, who on that show was fabulous.

“But I think it would be a tricky clash of personalities if we were to do something like [This Morning] together – although her recent series which she’s just done is genius.

“She’s been doing that stuff for are. She’s brilliant at it.

“But in my field, I don’t think we would necessarily get on long-term,” he added to Andy West on his AndyVision YouTube Channel.

Very wise grandma here….Nice find Mimi. Always beware what you’re saying around your elders!

A Grandma who had serious hearing problems for a number of years went to the doctor to be fitted for a hearing aid that would return her hearing to 100%.

The grandma went back for further tests a month later and the doctor said, “Your hearing is perfect. Your family must be really pleased that you can hear again.”

To which the elderly woman replied, “Oh, I haven’t told my family yet. I just sit around and listen to the conversations. I’ve changed my will three times!”
